About us
We are the world’s leading recruiting experts and an employer of choice, having been recognised as one of the top companies to work for in the UK by Glassdoor and Rate My Placement. Present in 30 countries and operating all across the UK&I, our 2200+ recruiting experts power the world of work by matching the right person to the right job to transform lives and businesses.

At the heart of our success is our people so we’re incredibly proud to be accredited with the National Equality Standard, which reflects our meritocratic culture and inclusive work environment. The majority of our employees began their recruitment careers at Hays with no previous recruitment experience, something else we’re very proud of.

At Hays we offer a hands-on and exciting internship as a recruiting expert, supporting our recruitment teams in powering the world of work and transforming lives and businesses. You’ll be responsible for helping to source candidates for live job vacancies, attracting and assessing applicants for future roles and helping to win business by making sales calls and attending sales meetings with experienced consultants. It’s hard work and fast-paced but incredibly rewarding.

Why choose an internship in recruitment?

Our Intern Programme is award-winning. As an intern at Hays you’ll be doing the job from day one and be treated like any other employee. You’ll get a real insight into the world of work.

You’ll receive a competitive salary and monthly KPI bonus. There are regular awards and incentives as well as the opportunity to be rewarded for referring others to join Hays. High performers are also invited to come back after they’ve graduated.

Recruitment is a sales job. You may not want to specifically work in sales but selling is a fundamental skill in business and in life. At Hays you’ll receive world-class training to help develop strong selling skills to set you up for future success.

You'll work with both candidates and clients and spend a large part of your day communication on the phone or in person. As your expertise develops so too will your confidence in working with others.
